Sunshine for the Sabs

Buffalo(21-4-2) Vs. Florida(9-15-5)
The Sabres must be enjoying the weather down in Flordia because it's snowing here in Buffalo we had about 2 inches Tuesday. I was looking at my favorite hockey blog http://coveredinoil.blogspot.com and the video was of the Canes winning the Cup last year. Now I remember watching the game but you know I must have blocked it out because I just realized the CANES WON THE CUP! WHAT! just seeing the video made me roll up into a ball in the cornor of my room. Hearing the call the Canes win the Cup is the Bill Buckner Call it's so redick you can't comprehend it until you 1/4 through the next season. I hope the Sabs win tonight cause I'm going to the game against Florida when they get back. I predict 4-2 Sabres Max, Briere, Hecht and Kotalik.

GO SABRES

Game 6 of the 1986 World Series wasn't the decisive game, and Bill Buckner's error wasn't what caused the Red Sox to lose. Sure, it was the most shocking part, but it wasn't the reason the Sox lost. The real reason was Calvin Schiraldi's craptastic pitching in game six, allowing the Mets to force extra innings. Even in the tenth, he had the Mets down to their final strike TWICE, and couldn't close the deal. Nobody knows why Clemens was lifted in the seventh, anyway.
When given a chance to redeem himself in game seven, Schiraldi crapped the bed again, blowing another lead.

People conveniently forget that Schiraldi's poor performance put the Sox in that position to begin with.

Anyway, I'm not sure that there's any parallel between the shock of the massive collapse by the Sox in that 1986 World Series and what you view as an injustice in the 2006 Stanley Cup playoffs.
